The led electronic display has become a new medium for transmitting information in our lives. It not only shows people a colorful picture, but also has the effect of beautifying the city. Since light-emitting diodes are semiconductor components, the switching time is calculated in seconds, there is no memory function, the display area is large, and the signal transmission interval is long, and the most advanced COG, SOB and other large-scale circuit methods cannot be used. , It is more difficult to reduce power consumption, improve power, color retention and consistency than other flat panel displays.
The led electronic display is a digital flat panel display, which has two methods of processing image signals:
1. Multimedia method, commonly known as synchronized screen method.
This method is to capture the TV signal with a common multimedia card, and perform modulation, filtering, and tone separation. After the video signal is converted by A/D, the MPEG encoding is stopped and compressed for storage. When we stop playing, we need to stop extracting it and play it directly on the computer monitor. The signal to transmit the large screen is obtained from the DVI interface of the computer or the graphics card through a special interface card, and some processing must be performed on the interface card. The large screen is theoretically equivalent to a computer monitor or a part of it, usually called a window, which can complete one-to-one corresponding synchronous display. Since the computer monitor scans progressively, the display format of the large screen will be the format of the monitor, assuming that the frame extraction process is not suspended for the transmission signal.
2. A dedicated large-screen signal processor is used.
The led special-shaped screen converts the interlaced TV signal into a progressive scan signal after processing, and then plays it on the led electronic display. The high-performance processing function can handle more than 10 digits, and the interpolation operation, motion prediction and compensation, and scan conversion should be suspended when scanning conversion is performed. At present, large-scale LED screens also use this method, and stop more image signal processing, trying to improve the signal to broadcast level, of course, the effect is better. Computer images are also processed by this processor and then transmitted to the large screen for display.
